It's an Inside Job

Updated: Jul 18, 2021

It is so important at this time that we all begin to go within to unlock the knowledge and wisdom that lies inside each and every one of us. So many of us don't value ourselves and with that comes a lack of SELF TRUST and SELF KNOWLEDGE so we search for external validation. "If I look like this, or own that, I will be gain respect". What that is really saying is "I want to be loved".

Our children take on these negative patterns from a young age and it is time to change the story, so that they become aware of the fact that each of them are amazing in their own way and have something wonderfully unique to bring to the world that only they can. The most effective way for us to help them is to enable them to see them as we do. How do we do that? We do that by encouraging them, listening to them, validating them, by showing them love but most importantly by being the mirror for them that they need. They learn through experience so ask yourself "Are you valuing yourself?" - "Do you love yourself?" If the answer is not a 100% definite yes, then it's time to do the work - TO CHANGE THE STORY - TO END THE CYCLE.

When we take action to "change our story", the consciousness of the planet rises. We are all here to learn lessons, to grow, and to evolve through these challenges and by being aware of the lesson, we can alleviate some of the hardship. Rather than adopting a victim mentality and wondering "Why do bad things always happen to me?" try asking yourself "What is this lesson teaching me and how can I move through this challenge?" We each owe it to ourselves to learn more about who we are and what our purpose is, as once we have discovered that piece of the puzzle, it is much easier to move into the flow of working with the Universe rather than against it. Remember that whatever we resist persists. The realisation that resistance makes the challenge more difficult is key. Allowing and Acceptance is vital.

Meditating is a great way to begin to connect with your true self, to gain answers, to relax and to live more in the present moment. Patience and perseverance are key, but once you begin Meditating regularly, you will feel more positivity within yourself and hence, your outer experiences will follow suit. Connecting with nature is very important and encouraging your children to do so keeps them grounded and more focused which is diminished through screen time on their various devices. Teaching your child Meditation from a young age can be life changing for them as they learn how to tap into their inner wisdom, and trust they have the inner strength and support they need to navigate their path. Imagine what an impact this could have on reducing the outrageous number of addictions within our society, by allowing children the freedom to just 'be who they are' and for that to be enough. We are constantly bombarded with the media and marketing strategies, pressuring us to look a certain way or to achieve a certain status and the overall message being replayed over and over again through these media outlets, through social media is that you're a failure if you haven't achieved this level of "so called success"! Of course we have to know this is not true, but when it is in our face 24/7, it does have a negative effect on society and the power of the media and their strategies cannot be denied. They also focus predominantly on the negative aspects of whats happening in the world, showing us damaging images and driving home the message of "it's all doom and gloom" when in actual fact there is far more positive than negative going on in the world. They do this to create fear so do not buy into it.

It is up to each of us right now to step up and take ownership of who we are and how we wish the world to be. We need to take control of our lives and live by example. Children learn by what they are exposed to.
